Documentary

Honest, story-led photography of people, places and communities.

Documentary photography is about capturing real people, real moments and the stories happening around us, creating images that feel honest, engaging and rooted in a sense of place.

I work naturally and unobtrusively, observing rather than directing wherever possible. From community and charity projects to behind-the-scenes stories and longer-term commissions, my approach is about finding the moments, details and connections that bring a story to life.

You’ll receive a professionally edited collection of high-resolution images that can be used across websites, social media, press and PR, publications, campaigns, reports, exhibitions and wider storytelling.

Based in Sunderland, I also work throughout Newcastle, Durham and the wider North East*, with travel further afield available.
